Ride is 15 minutes to Pajarito. Great lifts. Not crowded.
Easy online registration.
Easy food order online.
They made it fun and easy.
Over all great experience. Had 8" of powder fall. Cheaper tickets because they only had one "real" lift open. Staff at the shop and the snack place were amazing and super helpful. Don't really like the mountain on non powder days, so just waiting for another powder day before I go again.
Nice little ski area. Rentals are required to be bought online beforehand, pickup was very easy. They need better food options but what's there works ok. Some runs aren't groomed early in the season despite being "open" but they are pretty obvious. Cheaper than Santa Fe, and a perfectly fine place to ski.
Jerome and Abby in the gift shop were super helpful and the mountain was great, “best snow in New Mexico.”
Compared to most ski resorts that cost $100+ a day, Pajarito is super affordable. It's only 15-20 minutes from downtown Los Alamos, very easy to get to. The best part is you reserve your rentals online in advance, and they're set aside for you in the morning of your arrival. No more standing in long lines, filling out forms, and waiting to get your rentals! The only downside is there aren't many short beginner trails, especially if not all the lifts are open.
It's a great local ski hill. Snow this year has been adequate which is been great first year in quite a while with sufficient snow too open most runs.
In the summer they run the lifts for mountain bikers, and the cross country. Ski and snowshoe trails are very well maintained for mountain biking and or hiking and or equestrian activities.
Very very under rated mountain! Amazing runs! Awesome tree runs! 10x better when it’s a pow day! Wish the park was put together! If the park was open it would make this mountain 20x better! I’d come everyday if they had the park open! But besides that it’s a rewarding mountain!
Great place for family fun and snowboarding! It is very affordable (kids 12 and under are free) and lift tickets are not too expensive. It is closer to Albuquerque than other ski resorts, and has become our family favorite place to go!
